What is symmetric illustration? Well essentially you only have to create half the amount of art to create the full amount needed. It’s a creative fringe benefit of digital illustration. You illustrate half of the artwork and then simply clone and flip the art to get the other half.

I love working in this tribal tattoo style. I started doing this type of art a few years back when a group of illustrators use to get together in Portland and pick a topic to illustrate. When we picked tattoos I did a tribal face and I’ve been hooked ever since.
