I am always looking for creative opportunities. So when I had to make some touch ups on a wall in our home it also gave me a chance to use the left over paint to go ahead and create some painted textures as well. In other words a good excuse to splatter some paint. ;-)

This download will show you how to go about creating your own hand painted textures you can use in your art projects. A simple low-tech method to add a nice organic feel to your work.

(Tutorial Includes Notes in both ‘English’ and ‘Español’.)

Some call it ‘Collage Illustration’ but I prefer the description a friend of mine coined ‘Compost Modernism’. Simply put it’s taking found historical images and compositing them with a garden variety library of assorted elements into a visually stunning motif. Granted this isn’t a new style, it’s been around a long time, but it is a fun way to create strong illustrative designs.

This download will walk you through a project using ‘Compost Modernism’. Also included in this download are several source files so you can de-construct the process of creating the art further.

This download will walk you through the entire process of creating a killer tattoo illustration. Also included in this download are several resources where you can purchase decal paper for producing your own custom temporary tattoos as well.
